Program Description
The Motion Pictures & Television program prepares students to enter this competitive
industry with the caliber of experience necessary to produce the artistic and professional moving
images that are in demand. The curriculum cultivates a mastery of form, content and structure as
well as solid fundamentals with the integration of digital media. The focus of the curriculum is to
expand on the student's vision, worldview and skill set. The department's faculty of professionals
ensures that students graduate with intensive training in keeping with the ever-changing technology
and trends in the industry. Filmmakers graduating from this program have studied all areas of
production before choosing one area of concentration. Their final projects are frequently screened
at the Academy's Annual Show as well as industry festivals.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts requires completion of 132 semester units. Students who already have a
bachelor's degree can enroll in our streamlined Second Degree Program that is 66 units without
requiring any Liberal Arts or Art electives.

NOTE: While most online classes in this degree can be completed on either a MAC or PC, a few
classes in this degree require software that is only available for a Macintosh computer.
