Online Award of Completion in Maya
Program Description
The Maya Applications in Animation Online Award of Completion is a personal enrichment program,
designed for students interested in acquiring the basic to advanced technical knowledge to enter
into Animation profession using the software package, Maya. The Applications Online Award of
Completion is to help beginning as well as advanced artists learn and work in one of today’s world
leading off-the-shelf software packages that produce award-winning games, 3D animation and visual
effects for the entertainment industry. The Maya Applications Online Award of Completion requires
completion of four undergraduate courses in Animation. The Online Award of Completion and personal
enrichment students may have these courses credited toward a degree at the Academy of Art
University pending portfolio review and approval by the department director. Degree seeking
students must satisfy existing degree requirements.
Please note: The Online Award of Completion requires all courses
must be taken online.

Admissions Requirements
> Personal Enrichment and Online Award of Completion Students: None
Students entering Degree Programs (AA and BFA) at the Academy of Art University must provide the
following:
> Domestic Students: Proof of high school graduation (diploma or GED/CHSPE)
> International Students: English translated official high school
transcript
Online Award of Completion Application Procedure
Upon completion of all required online courses, students must submit a request to receive their
award. Please e-mail the following information directly to the Cyber Campus department at
online@academyart.edu, or call us at 415.618.3545 or 1.888.431.2787:
> Name and Student ID number
> Certificate of Completion for which you are applying
Upon review of your academic record showing successful completion of the required online
courses, your award will be mailed to you. If you have moved, please be sure to update your contact
information through ArtSmart, or by contacting Student Services at 415.618.6508 or 1.800.544.ARTS
