The Fashion Merchandising Program is currently offering a bachelor’s degree, including a streamlined second-degree program, an associate degree, and an award of completion online. The merchandising program approaches fashion as a business, thereby preparing students for a successful career in buying, product development, planning, management, or marketing. As of Spring 2004, the program has been expanded to include a major entitled Visual Merchandising and Store Design. This new area of concentration combines classes from a number of majors to provide students with an in-depth analysis of all the visual components of the retail store environment that are critical to attract today’s consumers.

The curriculum is reality-based, taught by seasoned retail and wholesale executives, whose experience encompasses major retail stores, wholesaling, direct marketing, and
e-commerce. Their extensive contacts throughout the industry are invaluable in placing graduates with leading companies.
