Mr. Pyle was trained as an illustrator at the Academy, and comes from an impressive freelance career. He is an internationally sought-after artist, working with clients from New York to Tokyo.
His past clients have included Microsoft, Pacific Bell, Safeway, Avis, Ask Jeeves, Sun Microsystems, Reader’s Digest, the New York Times, The Boston Globe, Atlantic Monthly, Redbook, Good Housekeeping, McCall’s, Penguin, Bantam, Book of the Month Club, Houghton Mifflin, Seattle Opera, Nisshin Foods, and the Chicago Museum of Science and Technology.
His work has been widely exhibited, and is part of many permanent collections.

A professional illustrator and fine artist, Mr. Maughan received a Bachelor of Fine Art in Illustration from the Art Center College of Design. He has provided numerous illustrations for such companies as DreamWorks, Woman's Day, TV Guide, Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, CBS, Universal Studios, Wells Fargo Bank, Chevrolet, GMC, Franklin Library, New American Library, Avon Books, Pinnacle Books, Signet Books, Tor Books, Doubleday, Harcourt Brace, Knopf, Oxford University Press, Danbury Mint, Fenwick and others. Since the early '80s Mr. Maughan's work, both originals and prints, has been represented by major galleries and publishers, domestically and internationally. His works of art are included in private, commercial and museum collections. Mr. Maughan's book, The Artist's Complete Guide to Drawing the Head, was published in 2004 by Watson/Guptill.
When he's not teaching Academy students the fundamentals — realism-based drawing, design concepts, value, form, color and composition — he paints in his studio in the mountains of Utah.

After graduating from the Art Center College of Design, Jeannie Brunnick established herself as a freelance illustrator gaining national recognition for such distinguished clients as: Universal/MCA, MGM Studios, 20th Century Fox Studios, Sony Pictures, AOL/Time Warner, Disney Studios, Fox Television, Disneyland/Imagineering, Mattel Toys, Top Flight Golf Products, Honda Motors USA, and Toyota Motors.
Jeannie was a featured illustrator in Outstanding American Illustrators and has been awarded by the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles and New York. She is currently on the Advisory Board of the California Art Club. She taught painting and drawing at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena prior to joining the faculty at the Academy of Art University in 1992 where she has taught graduate and undergraduate levels in the Fine Art and Illustration Departments.
Currently, Jeannie has focused her attention on portraiture and gallery painting, receiving commissions from government, corporations, academia and private collectors. Her original art is available through various galleries.

Jason Bowen is an accomplished fine artist. He has participated in many group and solo exhibitions in Europe and USA. He has won the Best of Show at the Capital Art Show in Utah and 2nd Place at the Tanglewood Art Exhibition. Bowen’s work has also been published in many magazines. He holds a BFA in Illustration from Brigham Young University and a MFA in Painting from American University.
