The School of Jewelry and Metal Arts program provides a unique environment in which students can develop their skills, concepts, and collaborate with students from the School of Fashion.

Academy of Art University offers an innovative curriculum that is built for artists who have a love of shape, textures, color, wearable form, and enjoy working three-dimensionally. Rooted on a rigorous commitment to personal vision, the program encourages self-inquiry and critical thinking in pursuing ideas, and the skill and self-discipline to bring them to life.  The program is enriched by interdisciplinary collaboration that emphasizes investigation and dialogue.

Master of Arts (MFA)

The MFA Jewelry & Metal Arts degree provides advanced study for students pursuing a career in this competitive field of art and design. Studio courses focus on the techniques necessary to develop and master technical skills. Graduate Liberal Arts courses promote the expression of ideas and effective communication utilizing visual, oral and written presentation skills. The program culminates with an independent final thesis project. Students will graduate from this Jewelry & Metal Arts school equipped with a portfolio of work and prepared for professional opportunities in this field.

The MFA program provides an intensive education that combines creative thinking with technical excellence. Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)

Once earned, the Associate?s degree can also be used as a stepping stone to the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
