
This program will be offered as a study abroad program in Italy for 7.5 weeks — summer semester. Classes will be offered Monday through Thursday during the semester. Airfare is included with the program fee. Upon arrival in Italy, students will travel via motorcoach to the "Green Heart" of Italy, Umbria. While in Umbria, students will stay in locally owned villas located in the 14th century hilltop town of Corciano. Included in the program, students will have the opportunity to experience several evening excursions to nearby cities along with 3 weekend trips including trips to Venice, Rome and Florence. The proposed classes taught for this study abroad include Location Painting, Location Drawing/Sketching, and Location Cityscape. Printmaking classes are also offered with emphasis on intaglio, woodcut, and linocut techniques.
