Liberal Arts: From London to Edinburgh

LA276 / GS903 Seminar in Europe

June Intersession: May 30 - June 18, 2010*

This three-week course will expose Undergraduate and Graduate students to the art and culture of a particular city or region of Europe and introduce them to the larger context of European history and artistic culture. Students will explore the extraordinary architecture of the chosen locality as well as visit the extensive collections of paintings, sculptures and decorative objects housed in Europe's world-renowned museums. Participants should be aware that extensive walking will be a necessary part of the program. Students will earn 3 units of Liberal Arts or Graduate Studies and fulfill one art history or history graduation requirement.
